Last updated: 3 August 2026

These Terms of Service explain the conditions that apply when you access autowiring.co.uk or purchase products from Auto Wiring.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. About Us

This website is operated by Auto Wiring.

Business name: [INSERT REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME]
Registered address: [INSERT BUSINESS ADDRESS]
Email: [INSERT CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL]
Company number: [INSERT IF APPLICABLE]
VAT number: [INSERT IF APPLICABLE]

Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Auto Wiring. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing our website or purchasing from us.

2. Website Use

You may use our website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • Use the website fraudulently or unlawfully
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
  • Introduce viruses or other harmful technology
  • Copy or commercially exploit our content without permission
  • Submit false, misleading or inaccurate information
  • Interfere with the website’s security or operation

We may restrict or withdraw access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

3. Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, compatibility information, photographs and prices are accurate.

Colours, packaging and minor product details may differ slightly from those displayed. Images are provided for illustrative purposes unless stated otherwise.

You are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for your vehicle, equipment and intended use before ordering or installing it. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

Nothing in this section affects your rights where a product is faulty, misdescribed or not fit for a purpose that was agreed with us.

4. Vehicle Compatibility

Vehicle models, specifications and wiring arrangements can vary depending on age, trim level, factory options and previous modifications.

Compatibility guidance provided on our website is based on the information available to us. You must provide accurate vehicle and technical information when ordering.

Where compatibility depends on information supplied by you, we are not responsible for problems caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.

5. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase products from us. Your order is accepted when we send confirmation that it has been accepted or dispatched.

We may refuse or cancel an order where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • A price or description contains an obvious error
  • We cannot authorise or verify payment
  • We cannot deliver to the supplied address
  • We reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity
  • Required information for a custom product has not been provided

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and will state whether VAT is included where applicable.

Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be shown during checkout before you complete your order.

Payment must be made using one of the methods available at checkout. Your order may not be processed until payment has been successfully authorised.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted.

7. Custom-Made Products

Some products may be manufactured, cut, modified or wired specifically for your vehicle or requirements.

You are responsible for ensuring that all measurements, vehicle details, diagrams and specifications supplied to us are complete and accurate.

Once production of a custom-made product has begun, the order may not be cancelled or changed. Custom-made and personalised products cannot normally be returned because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not made according to the agreed specification.

8. Delivery

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless we have expressly agreed to a specific delivery date.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you and explain the available options.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional delivery costs caused by incorrect address information may be charged to you.

Responsibility for the product passes to you once it has been delivered to the address provided or to a person nominated by you.

9. Installation and Safe Use

Automotive electrical products should be installed by a suitably qualified and competent person.

Before installation, you or your installer should:

  • Confirm that the product is correct and compatible
  • Inspect it for visible damage
  • Disconnect relevant power sources safely
  • Follow the supplied instructions and vehicle manufacturer’s guidance
  • Use suitable tools, connectors, protection and fusing
  • Test the system safely before normal use

We are not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, unsuitable equipment or failure to follow instructions.

We do not exclude responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for faulty products or losses directly caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

10. Returns and Refunds

Your rights to cancel an order, return a product or request a refund are explained in our Refund Policy.

That policy forms part of these Terms of Service. Nothing in either document affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Faulty Products

Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their usual purpose and as described.

If you believe a product is faulty, please stop using it and contact us with your order number and details of the problem. We may request photographs, diagnostic information or the return of the product so the issue can be assessed.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Damage caused by incorrect installation, accidents, misuse, neglect, ordinary wear and tear or unauthorised modification is not considered a product fault.

12. Warranty

Any product-specific warranty will be stated on the relevant product page or supplied with the product.

A commercial warranty is additional to your statutory rights and does not replace or restrict them.

Unless stated otherwise, warranties do not cover:

  • Incorrect or unsafe installation
  • Accidental or impact damage
  • Misuse, neglect or abnormal operating conditions
  • Incorrect voltage, current or polarity
  • Water, heat or chemical damage not caused by a product defect
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Normal wear and tear

13. Our Responsibility

We do not limit or exclude liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Breach of your statutory consumer rights
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded

If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

If you purchase products wholly or mainly for business purposes, our responsibility may be limited to the amount paid for the relevant order, except where liability cannot legally be limited.

14. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, product photographs, videos, designs and downloadable materials, belongs to us or is used with permission.

You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit its content without written permission.

15. Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, image or other content, you confirm that:

  • The content is accurate and based on your genuine experience
  • You have permission to share it
  • It does not infringe another person’s rights
  • It is not unlawful, abusive, misleading or defamatory

You permit us to display and use submitted content in connection with our website and marketing. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by payment, delivery or technology partners.

We are not responsible for the content or availability of independent third-party websites. Your use of their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

17. Personal Information

We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

By placing an order, you agree that we may provide necessary information to payment providers, delivery companies and other service providers involved in fulfilling your order.

18. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, supplier failure, power outages or network disruption.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of such events and keep affected customers informed.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our business, services or legal obligations.

The terms displayed when your order is placed will normally apply to that purchase. Changes will not retrospectively alter an order that has already been accepted.

20. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.

21. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
